Our mission is simple: to provide pastoral care and crisis ministry to members of the first responder family with trained and licensed Chaplains through education, counseling and referral. Our core values are integrity, confidentiality, and excellence. No one is confronted with more situations that demoralize and create emotional, mental, and spiritual burdens than today's emergency first responders. Our chaplains are aware of the fact that police officer's, firemen and emergency service personnel have an extremely difficult job. These valiant individuals are constantly in the presence of danger and under pressure and scrutiny. First responders are witness to numerous traumatic events and see the aftermath of a great deal of violence from the citizenry. They are also constantly assaulted by stressors from outside the departments (both family and financial issues). Because these burdens also affect the responder's family and other members of his or her department, the chaplain is also available to the officer's family and co-workers as required. The chaplain strives to create a relationship with First Responders such that they feel free to approach the chaplain for counsel at any time without fear of judgment or reprisal. We place a high value on the education of our constituents. We have hosted seminars on financial wellness and have plans for training sessions for stress management, strengthening marriages, surviving divorce, coping with the death, improving parenting skills and church safety.
First Responder Ministries helps provide training for Chaplains as well as providing aid to First Responders injured in the line of duty.
